Arrival Time

We should arrive at 8 pm at the ministry center. Thanks for joining us on this journey. Be sure to stop by Sunday morning to hear all the stories. If you can’t make church, you can catch the live stream at faithonthemove.us. We will still be posting here the next few weeks with pictures and stories. Thanks again. It was a great trip. Can’t wait till next year…

We made it

Need I say more?

Change of plans

We are not swimming today due to rain. Instead, we are stopping in Lexington at an arcade. We should be home a little earlier than expected.

Melanies’ blog (Take 2)

So I guess my other blog got deleted. And I told everyone to read it to know what’s going on. Oops. Well right now we are on our way home and I’m asking myself “What am I taking home?” I can definitely say that I am taking home a lot. Our first day of misinstry we sanded and mudded at a house. Second day we landscaped and went to a nursing home. Third day we prayer walked and went to an assisted living home. Thursday we did ATL and our group felt led to go back to the assisted living home. I played some worship songs for them, but after a while Ryan took over and played hymns for them. Each day we came back from serving, someone always had some awesome story about something that happened that day. But I don’t have that. Nothing physically gigantic happened. The big thing that happened for me, was the change in my heart. I’ve been having issues with my relationships with other people, and coming on this trip I just needed God to talk to me. And He did. I’ve been in a deep dark hole with my faith for a while. This trip couldn’t have come at a better time. After this, I am ready to take the path God has set out for my life. I’m not scared anymore.

This mission trip has been one of the best experiences of my life. Im excited to be coming home though.
